Introduction
The HAFC V2 (Hackman Automated Dilter Cutter) is a fully mechanical auxiliary device designed specifically for FDM 3D printers, primarily used to resolve printing failures caused by filament curling, jamming, or excessive friction during the printing process.
Details and features
Core Functions
It detects abnormal tension on the filament. When the filament tension becomes too high, an internal mechanism is triggered and automatically cuts the filament.
Working Principle
After the cut, the printer’s filament runout sensor detects the break, causing the printer to pause safely—rather than forcefully pulling, which could damage the extruder or cause layer shifts.
Version Difference
The V2 version is more compact than V1 and includes mechanical improvements such as a return spring.
