• If you want to install an open-source MMU kit like thi on your printer, your printer must meet the following requirements: 1. It must be based on the open-source Klipper firmware. If it's factory-installed, you can root it and then install Klipper. 2. The main control board must have at least one USB port for expansion. 3. If necessary, install at least one filament sensor near the extruder (either in front of or behind the drive wheel). 4. If possible, install a filament cutter on the tool head. If a filament cutter isn't available, you can install an optional cutter module to cut off the tip near the MMU encoder to improve your success rate.
  If you can find other successful examples of printer modifications to accommodate these open-source MMUs, you should be able to follow their example.

GitHub - Annex-Engineering/TradRack: A MMU system developed by ANNEX Engineering

This kit already contains all the necessary and optional hardware for you to assemble a working 14-channel MMU (driven by Happy-Hare software), including the tool head sensor, tool head filament cutter and even the extruder sync. sensor. The only difference between the whole hardware and the official Tradrack is the main control board.

There is a very detailed and easy-to-understand installation guide on Happy-Hare's github, and Happy-Hare natively supports Tradrack and easy-brd control board combination.

If you want to strictly follow the official Tradrack build plan, you can choose the SET-C or D package without easy-BRD, but it will still include all the necessary hardware, except the easy-brd. You can buy the Control board and wiring harness from the ANNEX Store to strictly follow the official bulid plan.

Regarding community mods, if you are in doubt you can completely ignore them and it will still work, for example the binky encoder.The ERF filament cutting and tool head sensor is an official ERCF V2 project, which is the missing part of tradrack project. You can easily integrate them into your MMU system through Happy-Hare software.
